These are Gene’s bi-annual workshops on Cold Reads, Voice Over, Prompter (teleprompter AND ear prompter), Green Screen, Live Hosting and more! A working actor, producer and instructor ASU and Scottsdale Community College, Gene has been coaching actors from elementary school students to candidates for Congress. The classes are affordable at $16/hour, and include a DVD of student work. Only 12 spots are available. The Ahwatukee Comedy Club debuted in January 2005 as Ahwatukee's premier comedy club, located in BG's Lounge at the Grace Inn Hotel and Conference Center.

The club hopes to be a part of the community for years to come providing local residents and surrounding communities with a place to laugh and to forget about the day's worries. The Ahwatukee comedy club prides itself in bringing clean, fun and entertaining comedy for everyone to enjoy. Laughter 100% guaranteed or your money back!

The Ahwatukee Foothills Comedy Club is a brainchild of Tom Grayson and Kerstin Berg. Kerstin who not too long ago graduated from U of A in Tucson has been working closely with the Grace Inn Hotel.

Tom being a spontaneous funny person since his early days in the Air Force now on his 20 + year flying for US Airways has moonlighted spreading humor around the nation for many years!

Tom seeing Kerstin growing up and Kerstin admiring Tom's clean and funny stand up comedy endeavor agreed that the Ahwatukee Foothills community needed to be cheered up. Voila, the idea of using the Grace Inn Hotel facility as a platform for a comedy club was born!

Since it debuted in January 2005 as Ahwatukee's premier comedy club it has attracted attention well outside the Ahwatukee Foothills community. The club hopes with the support of anyone in the community who likes to laugh to stay around for a long time bringing clean and good comedy for everyone to enjoy.

As Kerstin Berg left the Grace Inn to pursue another career on the East Coast Kerstin’s father, Anders Berg, was recruited. He owns a cleaning company, Swedeclean.Com, and having been in the cleaning business since 1969 and sort of cleaned almost anything under the sun he said he wasn't afraid to assume the function of being a Joke Cleaner and promotor. As Tom says: "Anders cleans the jokes, I tell the jokes!"

Ahwatukee Comedy Club brings both amateur and professional comedians, on their way to the top of the business, to the stage. Showcased comedians have performed in Funniest Person in the Valley, Funniest Woman in Los Angeles and notable comedy venues such as The Improv, Acme Comedy Co. and NBC Television.
