BIOGRAPHY

Carl James began his professional photography career in 1999.  Although he has always dabbled in and found photography fascinating, it wasn’t until he picked up his brothers camera for a Mother’s day project that sparked a new love that would ultimately reward him successfully.  

James was destined to capture beautiful images with his camera. He never studied, formally, at any accredited school but does credit renowned portrait artist Ron Kramer and his teaching methods for paving the path to his success. His talents started to emerge and word of mouth had people flocking to be in front of his lens.  Things were looking really bright for James and portrait photography was booming, but he wasn’t reaching his true goals he set out to accomplish in photography.  From the beginning, James’ true desire was to work within the talent and modeling industry and to shoot for magazines.  

After making a change from portrait photographer to fashion, model and talent photographer, James reached his goal and found immediate success.

Carl James has shot thousands of aspiring models and talent throughout the United States.  He has shot with many celebrities and a pile of magazine’s to boot.  James has truly risen to a level of superior quality and professionalism. With many awards won for his photographs, what’s next?  

Carl James continues to shoot, but has a new approach.  He wants his photography to be more affordable for new and aspiring models and talent.
