About Me
Valerie Saunders has had a stellar career in show business for over 20 years. A professional actress, singer, comedienne, and dancer, she has performed nationwide as well. Her lead roles include Molly Brown, Nancy in Oliver, Ado Annie in Oklahoma, and Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes.
She honed her skills in improvisation back in 1991 at Rawhide in Arizona, performing in Vaudeville shows and in "streetmosphere," strolling through Main Street as Matilda, a character she created and developed there.
As a vocalist, one of her greatest thrills with singing The National Anthem at an AZ Diamondbacks game in 2000. She was filled with joy when she sang with The Sentimental Journey Orchestra throughout TX.
Regarding film and TV work, she was:
1. The assistant set director for Tombstone
2. In a wedding scene in Maneater on Lifetime, filmed this year.
3. In the ensemble in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
4. A restaurant patron in the TV show Highway To Heaven
A vocal impressionist for many years, she emulates Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, Patsy Cline, and does scenes from The Wizard Of Oz.
